Air Force Week returns to New York City

Numerous events showcasing America's Airmen
Air Force Week returns to New York City this August providing flyovers, concerts and opportunities to meet Airmen serving in the U.S. Air Force. From August 19-21, people in the New York City area have the opportunity to get up close and personal with their Air Force.

Air Force Week will offer something for everyone, all free of charge and open to the public. Interactive Air Force displays will be set up from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Pier 86 near the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum where New Yorkers will have the chance to meet and talk to pilots, space and cyberspace specialists, combat controllers, security forces, medics and more.
For music lovers, various Air Force bands will be performing throughout the city, including concerts at the Brooklyn War Memorial on Cadman Plaza and Staten Island's South Beach Boardwalk.
There are more than 32,000 New York natives serving in the Air Force today with 1,500 of them overseas. Air Force Week New York City is a chance to Showcase America's Airmen from all over the United States.
